Round Robin Polytechnic Club Tournament

How it works:-

Each week you will be paired with an opponent. This will be done by late Sunday of each week. I will determine your colour each week by the toss of a coin. However, if a player continually gets white, I will reserved the right to change the player to play black. If you have any other suggestions about this method then please let me know.

You will find your pairing and the colour of your pieces on the LIVE 60min page on this website.

You message your opponent via the Polytechnic Club or as a Friend, and agree when during that week you want to play.

You initiate a LIVE 60 minute per player game with your opponent. You could do this on Chess.com, or perhaps Lichess.org.

Note: You need to be able to set the correct colour of pieces for the game. If in doubt, you can check how to do this in the videos section (for Chess.com) on the videos section of this website.

You both email the result of the game to admin@chess123.uk. This should happen by Sunday 3pm each week.

On the Sunday afternoon/evening I will set up the pairings for the next round.

New video: How to set the time control and select the piece colour.
New video: How to join a tournament on an iPhone.

(Hopefully similar on other smartphones!)

Note: If you follow me on Twitter then I will tweet 1 hour and 10 minutes before tournaments begin. @chess123uk
