The tournaments will begin on the Monday.
The tournament controller will do the pairings on the Sunday night.
IF you wish to join one of these tournaments then you agree to:-
Abide with any ruling I make on any game, or changes I need to make when the tournament is in progress.
You and your opponent will have to view the appropriate LIVE60 page on chess123.uk to find your pairing. You will then agree a suitable day and time for your game. This must take place before 3pm on the Sunday.
All games will be 60 minutes per player without any increment.
You must play with the colour assigned. If you are not sure how to set the colour, then view the Videos on chess123.uk, and if still not clear then contact myself - firstname.lastname@example.org.
You must submit the result of the game before 3pm on the Sunday in order for me to create the next round pairings. The game can be played on any agreed platform:- Chess.com, Lichess.org, other.
If no result is submitted by 3pm by the Sunday after the pairing (almost 7 days), then both players will receive 0 points, unless I am contacted before hand and there is a reasonable explanation - such as one of the players cannot be contacted. I will then decide the best course of action.
The number of rounds will depend on the size of the pool of players. If only 4 players, then you will play the same opponent twice. Once as black and once as white.
If the number of players is excessive for this type of tournament, then I reserve the right to either make it into a Swiss tournament, or split it into two or more round-robin tournaments.
In the case of an odd number of players, then one player each round will awarded a 1 point bye.
The results will be displayed on chess123.uk.
Juniors must obtain permission of a parent/guardian before signing up to play.
You agree that your handle / username on chess.com / lichess.org can be displayed.
The tournament controller's decision is final.
